DescriptionAmazon Transportation Services (ATS) manages best-in-class surface transportation programs for our internal and external customers. ATS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to assist with weekly capacity procurement, capacity planning and metrics-based transportation improvements for over $500MM in spend in our Canada Middle Mile network. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team in a huge growth area for Amazon and this person will be at the forefront of it all!An ideal candidate has a background in transportation and data driven problem resolution skills. Seeking someone who has the ability to pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize our processes and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current system. This job will require exceptional communication and interpersonal skills while having the ability to work independently in a high pressure environment and exercise sound judgment. The successful candidate will be proficient at identifying /solving or escalating complex logistics challenges and possess a bias to get things done and deliver results while functioning as part of a team.Key job responsibilities
Capture/collect weekly truckload capacity availability
Compile list of carriers with additional capacity across the network and use to fill daily/weekly capacity shortages
Deep Dive root causes of service failures and find sustainable resolutions
Drive application and service compliance
Continual, tactical communication with internal and external customers
Pull, analyze, and summarize data from numerous sources
Manage Key performance metrics to drive business results
Identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations
Escalate problems to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered.
Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs
Excellent communication, both verbal and written as the ideal candidate will be required to convey updates on issues during daily/weekly reviews

High school or equivalent diploma
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
1+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience
1+ years of management experience
Experience with SQL

The base pay for this position ranges from $43,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $80,500/year in our highest geographic market.
