We are seeking skilled Certified Medical Assistants to join our team at SOCAH Center Dermatology. This role primarily focuses on medical assistant duties with additional front office support responsibilities.

Primary Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
The Certified Medical Assistant must be able to scribe notes for the provider. This means you must be able to type at minimum 40 words per minute and transcribe what the doctor is saying while with the patient.
Your main duties will include:
Coordinating patient medical care, including phlebotomy and rooming patients
Assisting providers with exams and procedures
Obtaining vitals and other pertinent information from patients
Scribing notes for the physician or Physician Assistant
Setting up for procedures and managing medical equipment
Performing triage duties
Assisting with transcription and managing supplies and equipment
Additional Front Office Support:
In addition to your primary medical assistant duties, you will provide support with various front office tasks, including:
Check-in and check-out procedures
Collecting co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurances
Insurance verification and updating information in EMR
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Answering telephone calls and handling correspondence
Processing requests for medical records
Required Skills and Qualities:
Certified Medical Assistant qualification
Ability to type at minimum 40 words per minute
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
General understanding of insurance policies
Ability to learn CPT coding
Familiarity with medical terminology
Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience scribing for a provider
Experience in both front and back office roles
Ability to obtain prior authorizations and navigate the pre-certification process

Compensation and Benefits: This position is an hourly position. The salary is competitive and dependent on experience. SOCAH Center provides 80 hours of (PTO), 10 Paid holidays and offers medical, vision, and dental insurance after 90 days. 401K + Profit sharing after you have been employed for a year up or + 1000 hours. EOM (Employee of the Month)
