We are actively seeking experienced Machine Operators / Pipe Fitters to join our team on utility and underground construction projects throughout the Metro Atlanta area. This role requires strong equipment operation skills combined with hands-on pipe fitting experience in active utility environments.
Job Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment including:
-50,000 lb excavators
-Wheel loaders
-Ride-on rollers
Perform pipe fitting tasks for underground utilities including:
-Water
-Sewer
-Gas
-Power services
Safely excavate and work within trenches in compliance with trench safety regulations
Work around existing public utilities without service interruption
Read and interpret basic plans, grades, and utility layouts
Assist with pipe installation, alignment, backfilling, and compaction
Maintain a safe and clean job site at all times
Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
Required Qualifications
Proven experience operating 50K lb excavators, wheel loaders, and ride-on rollers
Previous pipe fitting experience in underground utility construction
Strong knowledge of trench safety and excavation best practices
Experience working around live utilities (water, sewer, gas, and power)
Ability to work in active public utility environments
Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Utility locating or damage prevention experience
Experience on municipal or DOT projects
Compensation & Benefits
$23.00 per hour
