The individual will be responsible for a wide range of accounting/fiscal responsibilities and the supervision of one Senior Staff Accountant and one Staff Accountant. Information on the Office of the Attorney General Job Duties:

Develop business systems and internal accounting controls

Design and enhance accounting systems in order to maintain proper functioning and accountability of fiscal operations

Consult/lead discussions with internal and external finance staff to identify needs, compliance issues and reporting requirements

Compute/prepare complex financial reports related to federal funding

Advantage payments to internal and external vendors

Financial queries

Grant management, cash draws and reporting

Petty cash disbursement and account reconciliation

Cash receipts

Suspense account reconciliations

SEFA reporting

Contract management

Allotment analysis

Personal services analysis

Budget prep

Actual to budget analysis

Financial orders

Budget orders

Controller reports

A/P and A/R management

Minimum Qualifications

An eight (8) year combination of education and experience comprised of a Master's Degree in Accounting or closely related field, and two (2) years of responsible experience in cost, cost/benefit, and financial analysis. Directly related experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
