This position will serve as an engineering resource to support day-to-day extrusion operations. Drives Continuous Improvement efforts across Plant WM for improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
Provides technical assistance to department manager, supervisors, and associates.
Drives efficiency improvements and waste reduction efforts through project management and capital project management as needed.
Investigates off-quality product concerns quickly and addresses root causes.
Participates in customer feedback calls and customer visits as needed.
Monitors department performance through statistical analysis (Minitab preferred).
Engages with and coordinates between multiple teams to ensure standard processes and procedures are sustained.
Implements lean manufacturing initiatives.
Leads small, cross functional teams to solve problems and develop sustained improvements.
Assists department manager with additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
4-year Engineering degree
Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt trained or willingness to complete training
