Job Title: Structural Mechanic 1Job DescriptionIn a team-oriented work environment, you will perform a variety of structural assembly operations under moderate supervision. This role involves the assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures, and performing drilling and riveting operations to ensure parts/assemblies meet requirements. You will use various tools such as portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, and rivets. You will read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine the sequence of operations, type, size, and hole pattern for rivets. Ensuring defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection is key. You will also maintain and use all logs and records, align and assemble parts using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners. Supporting the company 5S Program and complying with all safety regulations is essential. You will work under moderate supervision and support Lean Activities.Responsibilities
Perform structural assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures.
Conduct drilling and riveting operations to ensure parts/assemblies meet requirements.
Use various tools such as riveting guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, and more.
Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets.
Check all work to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.
Maintain and use logs and records such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, and PCOs.
Align and assemble parts using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supporting the company 5S Program and safety regulations.
Work under moderate supervision.
Support Lean Activities.
Essential Skills
One Year of relatable experience in mechanics, fabrication, maintenance, repair, hand & power tools, mechanical aptitude, etc
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operation sheets.
Comfortable working in tight confined spaces.
Ability to align and assemble parts using various tools.
Experience in automotive maintenance, aircraft assembly, or related fields.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in confined space, automotive repair, diesel repair, heavy wheeled vehicle, tractor repair, or sheet metal work.
Comfortable working in tight confined spaces.
Must pass an online skills assessment test (takes approximately 30-45 minutes).
