Description We are offering a position as an Accounts Receivable Specialist at our accounting team based in Smyrna, Georgia. The primary focus of this role will be managing the company's accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role will require strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.Responsibilities: Generate and distribute invoices to customers in a timely and accurate manner. Record and process incoming payments, ensuring they are applied correctly to customer accounts. Maintain and update customer account information, including contact details and payment terms. Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up with customers on overdue payments through phone calls, emails, and written communication. Reconcile accounts receivable balances with the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status, collections efforts, and aging analysis to management. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards. Address customer inquiries and disputes regarding billing and payments, providing excellent customer service. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts receivable function. Work closely with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to resolve billing issues and improve the overall customer experience.Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
