Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for meals, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and plating dishes.
- Assist in menu planning, including special dietary requests, and ensure that all dishes meet our high standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety guidelines and adhering to restaurant cleanliness standards.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure that meals are delivered on time and to the correct specifications.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain a positive attitude, providing help and support to other kitchen staff as needed.
- Assist in food service, including setting up buffets, serving guests, and clearing tables.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper handling and storage of food, and adhering to all restaurant policies and procedures.
Skills:
- Experience in a restaurant or fine dining environment, with a focus on food preparation and service.
- Strong knife skills and the ability to work with a variety of ingredients.
- Familiarity with menu planning and special dietary requests.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety guidelines.
- Experience as a dietary aide or in a related role.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and stand for long periods of time.
