Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef to join our team and lead our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food and beverage, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. As the Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef, you will collaborate closely with kitchen staff to uphold our standards of quality, creativity, and efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents, inspire a team, and contribute to the success of a premier brewpub.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating

- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, sanitation regulations, and food handling procedures

- Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations

-Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs

-Uphold quality standards for food presentation, flavor, and consistency

-Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development

-Implement and enforce kitchen policies and procedures

-Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction

Qualifications:

-Proven experience as a sous chef or kitchen manager in a high-volume restaurant or brewpub

-Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred

-Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team

-Excellent organizational and time management abilities

-Creative flair and a passion for culinary innovation

-Knowledge of industry best practices and current food trends

-Understanding of food costing, inventory management, and kitchen operations

-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
