We’re looking for a compassionate and capable Office Assistant to join our wonderful team at Galler-Rimm Behavioral Health at our office in Makawao. The OA will be working with Dr. Galler-Rimm and Dr. Rimm as well as our BCBA’s and other office staff. We are a purpose-driven establishment, working towards making the world a better place. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimal of 2 years in office management a must (medical office preferred)
Associates degree or higher
Ability to adhere to HIPPA private health information laws
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Experience in managing top level physician schedules.
Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
Quick mastery of new tasks and ability to multi-task.
Strong Microsoft office suite knowledge and skills and ability to use. Prefer knowledge of Mac operating systems.
Knowledgeable on how to navigate and operate modern technology, especially computer and mobile devices.
Ability to professionally interact with a broad range of patients/relationships.
Exceptional work ethic and ability to accomplish objectives independently.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and systematic, accuracy-driven approach.
An integrity driven-work ethic.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Responsible for managing and maintaining Physician’s business schedule, including scheduling travel, appointments and conferences. Answering, directing calls and taking messages on behalf of physician.
Open, sort, distribute and respond to correspondence on behalf of physician.
Reading and analyzing submissions, letters, agendas, memos and determining significance; routing to appropriate personnel in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist with call schedule distribution.
Take initiative in patient correspondence.
Handle the execution of confidential and time sensitive information.
Responsible for personal tasks as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
POSITION OFFERS:
The position will start as an independent contractor position with the opportunity to move to a full-time salaried employee with benefits.
The current rate offered is $25-$35/hr depending on experience.
The position also offers direct access to and support from experienced behavioral/developmental pediatrician and child/adolescent and adult psychiatrist. There are many opportunities for growth, support and education.

GRBH is part of a leading Developmental/Behavioral and Child/Adolescent and Adult Mental Health agency in Upcountry Maui. The medical directors of the agency have been on Maui for over 20 years and have over 60 years combined clinical experience. We provide assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning and multiple types of therapy and medication management for our patients here in Maui, Hawaii.
Dr. Galler-Rimm is a pediatrician with over 30 years of national and international experience in diagnosing., consulting, providing treatment and leading treatment teams for psychiatric, behavioral and developmental disorders. Her primary interest is in clearly defining the specific needs of each child/adolescent and family and working to empower her patients and families to access an array of services and supports to ensure the best possible outcomes. She is the sole Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician on Maui and one of only several in the state of Hawaii. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Rimm is a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist who has been in practice for over 30 years. Dr. Rimm has the expertise to implement specific evidenced based therapies in combination with medications and alternative practices when indicated to effecting positive change in the lives of his patients. He aids those seeking more joy and celebration in life and specializes in most psychological and medical conditions that influence emotional pain, suffering, and poor performance.
