We are seeking a part-time technician/ intern to support field biology data collection, data management, and mapping in Boise, ID. As a Biology Field Technician Intern you will support the Jacobs biologists in the field collecting data, processing collected information, and mapping.In this position you’ll see a mix of field and office work. You will have the opportunity to support a multi-disciplinary team, collecting biological data in the field.Bring your enthusiasm for learning and desire to conserve our natural resources, and we’ll help you grow!
Familiarity with environments in the western United States.
Ability to travel and work in the field up to 70% of time.
Organization and attention to detail. Interest in field data collection and GPS documentation of wetland resources and other biological data.
Ability and interest to work outdoors in a variety of environments and climates (hot, rain, insects).
Ability and interest to work with others in a team setting to support efficient and safe field investigations.
Driver’s license and safe driving record.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
Experience performing various biological field surveys for site planning and construction, supporting teams of field scientists.
