Your objective is to use global internal and external resources to define and enable equipment, yield, and output performance to achieve world-class manufacturing results. This role involves establishing a proficient team of equipment engineers, recruiting and training shift technicians and engineers alongside the Manufacturing Engineering team, and jointly setting performance targets. This position requires collaborating with Technology Development, Process & Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities as well as our global network of manufacturing sites. You must support effective collaboration across all geographies and departments, and external suppliers as well as international travel, as required.Responsibilities:

Ensuring all essential safety training is completed and upholding Micron safety policies to cultivate a positive work atmosphere.

Leading an engineering team towards area goals that will include improvement equipment performance and installing new tools for a new fab.

Driving fab optimization, max output and yield while reducing operation cost and maintaining the highest quality standards.

Support department business processes for new tool installations, as well as existing tool modifications/relocations/removals.

Partnering with other local and global counterparts and to identify and use global best-known methods.

Addressing large audiences, executives, and technology authorities on sophisticated topics

Knowing Micron People policies and partnering closely with People organization

Ensuring you area of responsibility has succession plans for all key positions

Leadership and team management.

Proven success in leading teams and defining and solving complicated problems

Proven track record leading multiple sophisticated projects

Solid understanding of manufacturing team structure, standards, and processes

Communicate and present technical information optimally

Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Proficient in data analysis, problem solving, and fixing skills

Collaborating with other groups to build strong peer relationships

Coaching and mentoring team members supporting their career development

Solicit feedback, accept input, and analyze success/failure

Identify, understand, and mitigate risk before making critical decisions

Education and Experience:Bachelors or higher in a science-related field or equivalent plus 5 years of semiconductor equipment experience.

Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability.
