Title: Enterprise Systems Specialist

Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field recommended, but not required.

-1-2 Years Database Management or related Information Technology Field recommended, but not required.

-3-5 Years Customer Service (required).

-Web/IIS experience.

-Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

-Knowledge of SQL queries.

-Ability to extract and manipulate data from multiple systems and architectures

-Microsoft Server Administration (2012, 2016, 2019, etc.).

-Knowledge or experience on best practices for server provisioning (including VM/hypervisor environment).

-Previous experience with Tyler ERP Pro, Laserfiche, Fleet Vision, Fuel Master, or other enterprise-related software is a plus

-Ability to understand and adopt new technology as needed.

-Ability to provide constructive feedback on documentation for accuracy, proper grammar, and utility used within the department.

-Ability to manage time and prioritize projects effectively

-Ability to successfully interact with clients and understand the needs of each unique department / organization.

-Ability to maintain a positive attitude in various climates, motivate and support colleagues and team members.

-Ability to work within a goal-oriented team.

-Experience with active directory and other related RSAT tools.

-Superb documentation, writing, and verbal skills.

-COMPTIA A+ certification recommended, but not required.

-General networking knowledge (routers, switches, TCP/IP, etc.).

-Extensive knowledge of computers and various programs such as Microsoft Office, Google Chrome & other popular applications.

-Ability to effectively and efficiently research hardware, software, and database issues as they relate to the applications supported.

-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Reports To: Enterprise Systems Coordinator

Job Goals:

To support the delivery of School District 91’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

System Administration and Support

-Provide Tier 2 support for enterprise systems including Inventory/Ordering, Applitrack, BlackBoard (Communications Service), lockcodes.com, Clover, eFunds, Follett Destiny, Fuelmaster, BoardDoc's, JalTest, Key Organizer, Laserfiche, Titan, ReadySub, Vector Solutions TeachPoint, SQL Server Management, SafeSchools, BlackBoard, Tyler ERP Pro, TimeClock Plus Versatrans, and all other enterprise systems assigned to the team.

-Ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with data security regulations (PCI Compliance).

-Under the direction of, and alongside the Enterprise Systems Coordinator work with various departments to understand their requirements and optimize system functionalityBuilds strong and effective relationships with peers, management, customers, and vendor support staff.

Laserfiche Management:

-Provide Tier 2 Administration for the District’s Laserfiche document management system, including user access control, document indexing, and workflow automation.

-Collaborate with departments to develop and implement document management best practices and standards.

-Provide training and support to staff on how to effectively use Laserfiche.

System Integration and Automation:

-Evaluate and implement integrations between various enterprise systems to streamline data flow and improve efficiency.

-Develop and maintain automated workflows and processes to eliminate manual tasks and reduce errors in data entry and processing.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

-Generate custom reports and dashboards to provide insights into system performance and trends as required.

-In collaboration with the Enterprise Systems Coordinator, analyze enterprise systems data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

-Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

User Support and Training:

-Serve as tier 2 point of contact for end users experiencing issues or requiring assistance with enterprise systems.

-In collaboration with the Enterprise Systems Coordinator, provide training sessions, group workshops, and instructional materials to ensure staff are proficient in using these systems effectively.

-Continuously monitor user feedback and system usage patterns to identify opportunities for improvement.

Security and Compliance:

-In collaboration with the Enterprise Systems Coordinator, implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data.

-Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to data privacy, security, and compliance.

-Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Vendor Management:

-In collaboration with the Enterprise Systems Coordinator, liaise with vendors to address technical issues, request enhancements, and coordinate software updates and patches.

Continuous Improvement:

-In collaboration with the Enterprise Systems Coordinator, proactively identify opportunities to enhance system functionality, streamline processes, and improve user experience.

-Participate in cross-functional teams tasked with implementing system upgrades, migrations, or other major initiatives.

-In collaboration with the Enterprise Systems Coordinator, solicit feedback from stakeholders and end users to inform prioritization of future system enhancements and development efforts.

VI. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs all other duties as assigned.

VII. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, 254 days per year. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 11-13 ($23.22 - $26.85/hour) depending on experience.

This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The "employment at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.

VIII. EVALUATION:

Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Enterprise System Coordinator in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
