DescriptionThis position allows for a hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office & 2 days working remotely. As a Technical Editor, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reviewing, editing, and formatting reports, proposals, presentations, specifications, and other deliverables.
Providing feedback/comments to document preparers.
Helping document preparers present content in a clear and concise manner.
Developing drawings, diagrams, tables, and charts to help report preparers convey concepts and ideas.
Creating and maintaining documentation and databases for project record-keeping and personnel information.
Creating and updating marketing materials in conjunction with review from leadership and Corporate Communications.
Creating and updating digital content for internal and external websites, using best practices, and company standards.
Creating and editing PowerPoint decks.
Maintaining Project Completion forms and Project Experience database.
Assisting in developing and building standard operating procedures for new processes to improve efficiency and quality of work.
Developing ideas and plans for new content, often taking an abstract concept and bringing structure to it.
Assisting project managers/teams to develop and compile proposals that address RFP-required information, and to add, maintain, and strengthen client relations.
Maintain documentation and database of reports, documents, and proposals.
QualificationsWe do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position. Requirements:
Bachelor of Arts (BA) in communications, English, journalism, marketing, or related field
2-3 years of professional editing experience
Knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style, highly proficient with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Adobe Photoshop (and/or other graphic programs), and learning management systems to write and edit content for digital and web purposes
Creativity and initiative
Flexible and willing to take on new tasks
A team player, a self-starter, and open to occasional overtime
