Technical Engineer

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Technical Engineer in the IT industry, based in Des Plaines, Illinois. The role requires an individual with a strong technical background who can manage hardware systems, lead IT projects, and provide operational support while communicating effectively with end users.Responsibilities: Lead IT projects to support and enhance our IT infrastructure. Manage the configuration, installation, customization, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of various hardware systems. Provide operational support for endpoint hardware, software, and peripherals. Handle administration and user account management across multiple systems. Communicate effectively with end users to troubleshoot issues. Perform patching and vulnerability remediation of endpoint systems. Provide escalation support for the Service Desk and corresponding call center. Utilize knowledge of cloud technologies, Active Directory, and backup technologies to manage and enhance systems. Work with Microsoft 365 applications, Microsoft Windows 10 & 11 operating systems, and Microsoft Exchange Online. Utilize ServiceNow or equivalent IT ticketing system for managing tasks and communicating with end users. Manage network devices, cabling, and VPN connections.
