Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Controller in Downers Grove, Illinois. In this role, you will perform crucial financial and accounting functions, act as a key business partner to the Plant Manager, and manage internal controls and procedures. Responsibilities: Oversee the monthly forecasting process and close process to ensure financial accuracy Act as a lead financial support for plant projects, providing valuable financial insights Collaborate with Commercial, Engineering, and Operations functions for 3-Year Strategy Planning Provide comprehensive FP& A reports to management on a regular basis Work closely with plant leadership to understand product line profitability Manage the budget process by setting direction and establishing financial targets Train non-financial leaders on financial concepts to foster cross-functional working relationships Maintain compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations Utilize accounting software systems like Oracle, SAP, OneStream for efficient operations Use advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for financial analysis and presentations Improve financial analysis and internal controls procedures for better financial management. Requirements Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions Familiarity with Budget Processes Experience with Oracle, SAP, and OneStream software Understanding of Costing principles Experience with Month End Close procedures Proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting Knowledge of Internal Control measures Understanding of Compliance requirements Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal.
