Engineering Lab Tehnician

Position SummaryReporting to the Engineering Manager within ITW’s Commercial Construction North America Division, the Lab Technician will support testing of mechanical and adhesive anchoring solutions for structural applications. This role focuses on conducting concrete anchor and metal fastener testing at the Lake Forest Testing Laboratory to ensure compliance with industry standards. Primary ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and perform testing in accordance with applicable standards (UL, FM, Building Code, ICC-ES, etc.)Conduct product testing in concrete, drywall, and metal deckingWork with team leaders to collect data and perform analysis to communicate to the teams.Write detailed and accurate reports summarizing test results and findingsResponsible for inventory and maintenance of all test equipment, test fixtures, tools, and laboratory supplies to be used for testing.Maintain laboratory files including testing procedures, test results, concrete inventory, equipment records and calibrations, and monthly equipment verification checks.Promptly report and document any equipment malfunctions or repairs neededMaintain a safe, clean, and professional laboratory environment, ensuring all testing and storage areas are well-organized
