Description A Robert Half client located near Monee, IL is looking to fill an immediate vacancy for a Human Resources Generalist with union labor relations experience. UNION EXPERIENCE REQUIREDThis position is 100% on-site.The role involves managing HR policies, strategies, and programs and handling labor relations and contract administration for three collective bargaining agreements. The role entails acting as a strategic partner for business unit leaders and promoting a high-performance culture.Responsibilities include overseeing HR activities for over 225 staff members in a two-shift manufacturing and office facility, managing negotiations for the collective bargaining agreements, interpreting such agreements and the company's position on contract-related disputes, and recommending changes that lead to overall company benefits.The role also requires monitoring employee relations cases, carrying out talent and succession planning, partnering with functional managers for business improvement, and providing HR support. The successful candidate will be tasked with implementing better organizational structures and work processes, retaining crucial employees, and maintaining the department's records.The role also entails staying up-to-date with industry and HR trends and regulations, organizing special employee meetings and training classes, and presenting required reports. The candidate will also be responsible for other duties as assigned.Requirements Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required, PHR or SPHR preferred.

Minimum 3-5 years experience in Human Resources functions required.

3+ years experience in a manufacturing UNION environment.

Highly effective in influencing and negotiations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong customer service focus with ability to manage and resolve conflict.

Knowledge of state and federal employment law, including HR technical knowledge of EEO, AA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, unemployment and worker’s compensation.

Experience in Performance Management and hourly/salary position recruitment required.

Capable of building business partnerships with all levels of employees including external union leadership.
