Job DescriptionThe Production Technician II executes manufacturing processes in formulation, encapsulation, primary and secondary packaging with minimum supervision. Ability to set up equipment independently for assigned production areas. Identify and resolve performance related equipment issues in a timely and efficient manner while adhering to GMP guidelines and procedures to meet or exceed target OEE. Identifies and leads opportunities for improvement throughout the operations and assists in the implementation of changes both in physical operations and written documents. Is a SME and trainer for areas of expertise. Provides a high level of technical troubleshooting. Displays AbbVie behaviors.Responsibilities:
Proven success in all tasks and skills as defined in the Production Technician I role (P7018H) or equivalent experience.
Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures and guidelines, and facilitate a proactive safety culture.
Directly responsible for setting up and operating equipment accordingly across multiple unit operations or three formulation processes across the business.
Demonstrate an advanced ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and faults, while properly communicating and collaborating with Maintenance, Engineering, Tech Ops, Materials Management, and Quality to maximize value stream efficiency and compliance.
Detect and anticipate equipment malfunctions and handle accordingly, to prevent equipment downtime.
Participate in departmental initiatives as needed including procedure updates, POMs, CPRs, identify and assist in driving improvement.
Subject Matter Expert and trainer/coach on advanced production processes. Assists with audits as needed when operator interviews are requested by providing process knowledge on production, quality, and safety.

Serve as Subject Matter Expert to make decisions to assess process or request management intervention where personal safety or product quality may be jeopardized.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required, and 3 – 4 years cGMP manufacturing experience operating automatic, manual, or semi-automated equipment in production processes in accordance with operating procedures is strongly preferred.
Is a SME and trainer for areas of expertise.
Technical experience and troubleshooting aptitude.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs and applications required.
A demonstrated focus and understanding of the importance of maintaining the highest level of quality and ensuring compliance to site level policies and procedures
