Billing Clerk

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk based in NORTHFIELD, Illinois. This role involves various tasks related to billing and administrative support in a legal environment, such as assisting attorneys with billing, scanning, and filing. The position requires the presence on-site from Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm.Responsibilities: Assist in preparing and issuing invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Provide support to attorneys in all billing-related tasks Take charge of scanning and filing documents, maintaining an organized filing system Handle customer inquiries regarding billing and provide appropriate solutions Use accounting software systems to manage billing functions and maintain records Operate Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting Administer customer accounts and update them as necessary Monitor customer accounts, identify overdue payments, and initiate collection processes Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer concerns promptly and professionally Perform other accounting functions as needed, contributing to the smooth running of operations.
