Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a meticulous Accountant - Entry Level to contribute to our team in OAK BROOK, Illinois. The selected individual will be instrumental in supporting our financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and budget preparation. As part of your role, you will also assist with financial analysis and general ledger functions in our industry.Responsibilities Assist in the handling of financial transactions and document management Support the financial team in budgeting and audit processes Manage and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable Collaborate in the preparation of tax returns Comply with all relevant accounting and financial regulations Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Assist with general ledger operations and the preparation of journal entries Aid in the reconciliation of balance sheets and bank statements Take on administrative and clerical tasks related to the finance department Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues. Requirements Entry-level position; no previous experience required, but internships or relevant academic background will be advantageous Proficiency in using accounting software systems Understanding and ability to perform accounting entries Familiarity with general accounting functions such as financial statement preparation and budgeting Capability to handle account reconciliation tasks efficiently Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes Experience with Yardi software is a plus Ability to prepare and adjust journal entries accurately Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and other advanced functions Strong analytical skills for financial data analysis.
