Description We are in search of an organized, tech-savvy individual to fill the role of Desktop Support Analyst in our dynamic Oak Brook-based company. As a contract role within our company, you will be part of a vibrant, forward-thinking IT team, offering expert desktop support in a windows-based environment.Role Responsibilities:
Provide efficient first and second-tier support to users experiencing operational and hardware problems, specifically for Windows OS.
Use an established ticketing system to track, update and resolve open issues.
Manage user accounts, assisting with password resets and account creation in Active Directory.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop software and hardware.
Diagnose hardware and software issues, interfacing with support vendors for service as needed.
Update and maintain desktop, laptop, and mobile device inventory including repairs and disposal.
Requirements
1-2 years of prior IT support experience in a Windows-based environment.
Excellent knowledge of desktop software, hardware, and Windows OS.
Familiarity with Active Directory.
Experience with a ticketing system.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is preferred.
