Caterpillar provides exciting opportunities for accountants who want to be challenged and are interested in being part of the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. In this role, you will have the opportunity within our Earthmoving Aftermarket and Strategy team to provide financial governance and analysis on machine revenue growth to Earthmoving Leadership. Additionally, this role will have the ability to partner with the Earthmoving Division and Business Partners on the execution of our long-term machine growth strategy.What You Will Do:

Financial analysis and monthly reporting on machine revenue growth focusing on PINS (Percent Industry Sales), Sales Variance, Price Premiums, and Deal Analysis for all Earthmoving Product Groups

Long term machine growth forecasting support for all Earthmoving Product Groups

Presentation and explanation of machine revenue growth to key leadership stakeholders including Senior Managers and Division CFO

Use of business systems/tools including, but not limited to Axiom, Power BI, etc.

Create and utilize automated tools to drive efficiency to support scale of the business functions and accurate financial results.

What You Will Have:

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in – Accounting or Finance

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.

Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Additional Details:

This position will be located in our Peoria, IL office

This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office
