Job Title: Controls EngineerJob DescriptionActalent is hiring an Automation/Controls Engineer for a premier employer in Quincy, Illinois! This role involves working with and training both new and existing robots, supporting production by troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and assisting in product and tooling changeovers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn programming in structured text and how to use CAD programs to view and manipulate line layouts. Additionally, the role includes troubleshooting electrical issues, viewing I/O cards, and identifying the root cause of problems. Advanced responsibilities include troubleshooting robotic adhesive applications, robotic weld applications, and robotic material handling systems, as well as other industrial systems or machinery as needed. The Controls Engineer will also evaluate and process Engineering Change Orders, collaborate with internal teams, modify system HMI & operations, and develop new processes and tooling.Hard Skills
1-3 years in PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
Robotics experience
Electrical/Mechanical systems troubleshooting
CAD usage
