Compensation Consultant114978Zurich North America is looking for a Compensation Consultant. In this exciting opportunity you will leverage and expand your knowledge of Human Resources while providing Compensation consulting support to various business units within the organization through a variety of projects applying technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities. This includes conducting market pricing for jobs, salary analysis and compensation program analysis to support program design recommendations and ensure our base pay program is competitive with the marketplace.The location for this role is in our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.This Compensation Consultant’s responsibilities will include a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring that the company’s compensation practices are competitive, fair, and aligned with the organization’s overall strategy.Key accountabilities:

Identify and recommend solutions to compensation issues and assist internal business partners in making competitive pay decisions.

Respond to the needs of internal stakeholders by market pricing jobs in a timely manner, identifying best survey sources, and providing relevant recommendations based on analysis.

Plan and program management for compensation, conducting market research and monitoring compensation trends.

Develop and implement compensation communication and training plan to support Human Resource colleagues and managers focused on annual closeout cycle as well as ongoing decision-making focused on base pay.

Manage projects, analyze issues and provide recommendations to address various compensation challenges identified by the team or management.

Provide status updates by developing work plans and updating team members and stakeholders on changing compensation issues.

Analyze legislative changes and make recommendations to the management team for appropriate change.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Human Resources, Total Rewards, or Performance ManagementOR

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in Human Resources, Total Rewards, or Performance ManagementOR

Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in Human Resources, Total Rewards, or Performance ManagementAND

Knowledge of compensation practices

Knowledge of design and delivery of performance programs

Experience managing large scale data analyses in Excel

Experience developing PowerPoint presentations to share insights with stakeholders

Experience with HRIS; SAP

Preferred Qualifications:

PHR or SPHR

CCP or coursework toward CCP, including Quantitative Methods

Intermediate or advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
