Entry-level opportunity with an environmental consulting firm located in Crown Point, IN. Field-based role which requires regional, overnight travel during the standard work week. Company vehicle provided for travel, all travel time, expenses, and lodging are paid for by company + $72 Per Diem. Responsibilities:
Perform air emissions testing and monitoring for a variety of industrial clients
Transport equipment to site using company vehicle, set up and break down of testing equipment
Record data, collect samples
Equipment calibrations
Assist engineers in air quality testing procedures
Environmental, health and safety protocols
Organize and load testing equipment into vehicles for upcoming jobs
Maintenance and cleaning of testing equipment
Using company resources, gain proficiency in performing EPA Test Methods 1-5
Qualifications:
B.S. in Environmental Science or related field of study preferred
Previous experience working in a field-based capacity
Able to travel (regional) as required during the standard work week
Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs. to set up testing equipment
Additional Information & Compensation:
1.5x Overtime. $72 Per Diem. Employees typically earn $55,000 with overtime their first year at the company
