Mechanical Operator

Job Title: Mechanical OperatorJob DescriptionWe are currently seeking a Mechanical Operator Technician for 1st & 2nd shifts with a career growth potential towards becoming a Maintenance Technician. As a Finish Technician, you will be the first point of contact in response to any machine malfunctions. Your responsibilities will include setting up and operating the finishing machines, troubleshooting, carrying out minor repairs, and escalating to a Maintenance Technician when necessary. You will also be tasked with educating and guiding other operators to avoid repetitive machine errors. Strong communication skills are essential for this role, as you will need to respond appropriately to radio calls. The equipment you will be working with includes hydraulic/pneumatic pumps, spray guns/booths, conveyors/elevators, ovens, sealers/sanders, belts, pulleys, conveyors, saws, hoses, fuel lines, motors, bearings, valves, rollers, etc. This role demands a mechanical aptitude, a basic understanding of electricity, the ability to work overtime and in other areas as required, and logical thinking skills to identify and solve problems. Please note that the work area can reach temperatures up to 105F during peak summer months and you may be exposed to paint/stain fumes. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and is required for specific tasks.Hard Skills

Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Goshen, Indiana.Work EnvironmentThis job operates on two shifts: the 1st Shift from Monday to Friday, 4am-1:30pm, and the 2nd Shift from Monday to Friday, 2:30pm-11:30pm. A $2/hr Shift Premium is provided for off-shift work.
