Description
Be part of an enterprise level, network team operation. The IT Technician 2 will support network operations within a commercial data center setting.
Duties
Prepares stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches).
Follow specific instructions, checklists, guides, standard protocols, and emails.
Set up equipment properly according to safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
Perform post-execution quality checks and verify grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures.
Quickly identify the cause(s) of issues, and replace faulty components.
Decommission hardware for simple changes and refresh (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) following standard procedures with minimal guidance.
Follow procedures to communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate Datacenter Technician Leads.
Additional
Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Required: Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
Required: 1+ year(s) experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
Required: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Required: Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays.
Previous datacenter experience a plus.

3rd Shift: 6pm-6am
Frontside Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday
Backside Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday
