Description We are seeking a Help Desk Technician based in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves providing technical support for software applications, managing computer and telephone equipment, and liaising with both internal staff and software vendors. This position also offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems and user issues. Utilize a ticketing system to effectively document, prioritize, track, and resolve IT requests. Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software such as desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, label printers, and telephones. Act as the primary contact with software vendors concerning changes, issues, or concerns regarding applications. Develop and facilitate technical training on software applications and equipment for employees. Escalate issues to the next level of support when necessary. Research questions and issues using available information resources. Maintain data and phone lines and their connections. Implement software application upgrades, including staff training. Collaborate closely with customers and internal staff to troubleshoot and resolve application issues. Requirements Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Help Desk Technician or similar role Demonstrable knowledge of MS Windows 10 Hold a Comptia A+ certification or similar qualification Experience with ticketing systems and managing help desk requests Ability to diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
