Employment Type:Part timeShift:12 Hour Day ShiftDescription:Position Purpose:Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, works collaboratively with the health care team to provide outcome/goal-based patient care. Observes and reports the patient’s response and progress to interventions. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne.What you will Do:Supports the team in identifying patient needs and implementing the outcome/goal-based plan of care.Assists the patient care team in the delivery of care.Communicates relevant clinical information to others to optimize patient outcomes/goals.Performs unit-based functions as assigned.Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.Using his/her knowledge of the principles of growth and development and related needs, communicates and intervenes in a manner appropriate to the age of the patient served which includes:Birth – 28 days Neonate1 – 18 Months Infant18 Months – 3 Years Toddler3 – 6 Years Preschool-aged6 – 12 Years School-aged12 – 18 Years Adolescents18 – 65 Years Adults65+ Years GeriatricHours/Schedule:.6 FTE, two 12 hour shifts per weekEvery third weekend rotation6:45 am to 7:15 pmMinimum Qualifications:Verification (by transcript or certification) of successful completion of Nurse Aide I course; successful completion of Nursing Fundamentals course or successful completion of the Competency Test. Nurse Aide II-Advanced course is preferred and may be provided post-hire. In Home Health must have completed Nurse Aide I course.Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and physicians while performing their job duties. Basic language, basic math, basic to intermediate reasoning ability. Basic computer skills required. Ability to work with diverse groups of people. Ability to work under pressure and in high stress situation/environment.
