MIG welding on steel of a variety of thicknesses
Properly setting up and adjusting welding equipment
Reading and interpreting blueprints and weld symbols
Cutting metal to size using precise measurements
Operating machinery such as plasma cutters, lasers, mills, lathes,
Using basic shop math, factions, decimals
Perform quality checks and inspections on welds
Operate overhead cranes or forklifts to lift and transport materials and products
Candidates Need
1-2 years of MIG welding experience
To pass a weld test
Ability to read and follow blueprints and weld symbols
Valid driver's license/reliable transportation
Familiarity with micrometers and calipers
Working knowledge of shop math, fractions, decimals
