Olathe Animal Hospital in Olathe, KS is seeking a skilled Groomer with references to join our exceptional team! Ideally, we are looking to fill a full-time position at 30-40 hrs/week, with weekends & major holidays off . Do you need a specific day off during the week? Let us know & we can accommodate!This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated Groomer to capitalize on our established clientele. Excellent animal handling and client service skills are required, along with strong knowledge in the grooming techniques of all breeds of dogs. We would love it if you groom cats too, but is not a requirement!Ideal Candidate should have the following:
High school diploma or equivalent
Grooming school classes preferred
Grooming certificate preferred
1 year minimum professional grooming experience
Experience handling and grooming dogs of different breeds & sizes, which should include:
Bathing
Clipping
Nail trimming
Ear cleaning
Anal gland expression
Brushing
Drying
Knowledge of breed specific cuts and ability to integrate the customer's requests into requested haircuts
Patience to work with dogs (& cats) of all temperaments
Strong work ethic, reliable and professional at all times
Team player and willingness to help coworkers
Positive attitude with good interpersonal & customer service skills
Possess his/her own clippers and scissors
Most importantly, loves pets and treats customer's dog (& cats) with the utmost care
