About the Position: Serves as the Chief, Supply and Services Division and Installation Supply Officer of the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), for the US Army Sustainment Command (ASC). Responsibilities Ensures supply and services support is provided to military, government civilian, and contractor personnel and coordination with various directors, special staff elements, and tenants at a complex multi-mission installation. Provides oversight and coordination of the installation's supply program capable of deploying and redeploying soldiers, civilians, and units anywhere in the world Provides supply and service support to military, civilian, and contractor personnel assigned, stationed or within the Area of Support (AOS) of the installation. Manages multiples areas which can include the Installation Property Book Office (IPBO), the Central Issue Facility (CIF), Food Program Management (FPM), Supply Support Activity (SSA), Ammunition Supply Point (ASP). Supervises the Supply and Services Division through subordinate supervisors, team leaders, contract site leads, or comparable personnel. Recommends awards or bonuses, and approves expenses i.e. overtime, employee travel and/or within-grade increases. Oversees the work of the division and inspects activities for conformance with logistics policy, regulatory, and program requirements. Identifies non-routine training needs and makes provision for training and development of subordinates. Current Civilian Employees of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade LOG Readiness CTR, FT Knox Supply & Services Division within the local commuting area. Consideration will also be given to current Department of Army Civilian employees with competitive status. Current Department of Army Civilian Employees In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-12). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Supervising team members of the supply and service program; 2) Providing contract oversight of the installation supply and services activities. 3) Providing policy effectiveness advisory for the installation supply program. and 4) Recommending solutions to logistics readiness to improve program operations. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manpower & Personnel Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
