Adhering to Facility policies, Pharmacy Board regulations, and proper infection control techniques during medication administration, including the use of universal precautions. Participating in performance improvement activities related to medication administration, such as data collection and medication audits. Reporting adverse patient medication reactions to a supervisor immediately and reordering/replacing medications and supplies as needed. Maintaining patient confidentiality and rights, as well as adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring confidentiality of health system and department documents.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation
High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience
1 year of related experience in a medical environment preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
Must be certified as a Medication Technician in the state within which services are provided and have current CPR Certification.
