The role of the Sterile Processing Tech is to perform technical duties necessary for the decontamination, processing, sterilization and distribution of supplies and equipment for the entire hospital according to established hospital protocol, policies, procedures and central sterile standards. When appropriate, he/she utilizes skills relative to the equipment management necessary for services of the ages of the patient population served (neonate through geriatric).High school graduate or equivalent. Must have good communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a team thinker. Prefer previous experience in some facet of healthcare setting.
