That’s what #LifeAtCummins is all about.We are looking for a talented Shipping Clerk – 1 st Shift to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Components Business Segment team in Frankfort, KYIn this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations.

Receive incoming goods, accurately sort, label/package, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.

Operates manual and automated equipment to pick, pack, and ship products per the customer expectations.

Works at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.

Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.

Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIESTo be successful in this role you will need the following:

Warehouse Inventory Control - Manages physical inventory utilizing inventory control methodologies to maintain inventory and meet customer expectations.

Warehouse Operations - Utilizes warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies to meet defined metrics for inbound and outbound operations of a warehouse.

Ensures accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.

Customer focus - Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.

QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Licenses, CertificationsHigh school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. A two-year university degree from an accredited program in Business, Engineering or a relevant field of study preferred.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.Experience

Experience preparing pack lists and sheets for loads being shipped.

Experience maintaining all traffic records and updating the outbound master routing guide.

Experience in billing.

Experience with customer interaction and support.

Experience with forklift and/or fork truck.

Strong attention to detail.

Experience and ability to navigate customer portals.

Experience with computer skills.

Ability to work without direct supervision.

Compensation and BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience.
