Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electrical repair of machines and related equipment, including experience with the following:

Experience with troubleshooting and repairing PLC controlled conveyors and machines.

Experience with AC/DC analog and digital drives.

Experience with Low, Medium and High Voltage Switchgear.

Ability to demonstrate intermediate or higher proficiency in readying and interpreting electrical prints/schematics

Basic mechanical skills

Ability to operate basic tools to complete the job

Self-starter and self-motivated individual who works well individually in a team environment.

In this role, you will be responsible to mechanically troubleshoot and repair complex domestic and foreign machines and related equipment that perform assembly, torque, and material movement functions in the assembly areas. Applicant must possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair the following types of machines and components: mechanical repairs to utilities, test cells, building and grounds, pump rebuilds, HVAC, boiler operation and assembly maintenance.Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Extensive experience in the mechanical and/or electrical repair of machine tools and related equipment is helpful.

Must have successfully completed an approved HVAC training program and possess practical experience in the HVAC field.

Possess the ability to install, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems, precision bearings, HVAC, and a variety of other controllers on the machines in the assembly areas.

A background with the ability to troubleshoot and repair large scale dynamometers will be helpful.

Applicant must have the ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic systems which may include but not be limited to compressors, valves, etc.…

Applicant should have proven boiler operator experience.

Applicant must be able to read and understand mechanical prints and possess a basic electrical troubleshooting skill.

Set up, operation, and adjustments on one or more machine tools to perform machining operations for various industrial production & maintenance operations, including dies, jigs, fixtures, repair parts, miscellaneous tooling, experimental parts, etc. to required tolerances 

Determine methods and procedures applicable to operations to be performed, which include improvising of setups, selection of materials and tooling 

Use of gauges, performs basic welding and heat treatment

General housekeeping and other duties as assigned to maintain a safe and productive department

CNC controlled machines are required in this position. Including the ability to read, write, & edit programs

Basic computer skills with experience with Office 360

Ability to properly communicate verbally & electronically

Basic Qualifications:  

6+ years' Job Shop or Tool Room experience and/or an associate degree from an accredited Technical School with four years of experience and/or completion of an accredited four-year Toolmaker Apprenticeship.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

Successful completion of the Tooling Services Intermediate Math assessment 

Knowledge and ability to plan & execute complex tooling jobs

Ability to hold tight tolerances on grinding, lathe work, and milling/drilling work on both manual & CNC equipment

Machinist skills (ALL types: Grinders, Mills, Lathes, Drills, Welding, Heat Treat, Jig/Bore grinding, etc.) 

Possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair fixtures, tooling, and machines in the shop 

Ability to gauge tight tolerance parts

Ability to determine heat treat required and perform said functions 

CAD/CAM software  

Ability to interpret complex machine schematics & blueprints
