Based in Baton Rouge, LA (North Plant) you’ll perform a variety of skilled welding and mechanical maintenance tasks to ensure the integrity and functionality of wastewater systems and related infrastructure. Your expertise will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of facilities, empowering communities to thrive.Key Responsibilities:
Perform welding operations, including MIG, TIG and stick welding, on stainless steel, carbon steel and other materials
Fabricate, repair and maintain pipes, tanks and structural components in wastewater facilities.
Conduct mechanical repairs on pumps, motors, valves and other equipment associated with wastewater systems.
Interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals to execute repairs and fabrications accurately.
Ensure all welding and mechanical work complies with safety and quality standards, including OSHA Requirements.
Work effectively in confined spaces, heights and various environmental conditions, adhering to proper safety protocols
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and structural issues
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections and welding work performed

Trade School or Apprenticeship or equivalent experience - Specialized training in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, stick and flux-cored arc welding
Specific material expertise: carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum etc.
Pipe welding skills
Cutting & fabrication
A valid driver’s license with no major infractions
Ideally, here’s what you will also have:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ years of industrial maintenance experience
NCCR certified
Welding Blueprint reading
Certification: AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code or API 1104 for pipe welding
