Information Security Director

Description We are seeking an Information Security Director to join our team in the transport industry, located in New Orleans, Louisiana. The key responsibilities of this role encompass a range of security management tasks, including access control, auditing, and configuration management, among others.Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program Work directly with the business units to facilitate risk assessment and risk management processes Develop and enhance an information security management framework Understand and interact with related disciplines through committees to ensure the consistent application of policies and standards across all technology projects, systems and services Provide leadership to the enterprise's information security organization Partner with business stakeholders across the company to raise awareness of risk management concerns Assist with the overall business technology planning, providing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and access of the electronic information by implementing appropriate security measures Oversee incident response planning as well as the investigation of security breaches, and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary Validate IT infrastructure and other reference architectures for security best practices and recommend changes to enhance security and reduce risks, where applicable. Requirements Proven experience in managing Information Security in the Transport industry Knowledge and understanding of Access Control principles Proficiency in Cisco Technologies Experience in Database management Familiarity with EO/IR systems Competency in Firewall Technologies In-depth understanding of Active Directory Experience in Auditing information systems Knowledge of Authentication processes Proficiency in Computer Hardware Understanding of Configuration Management principles CISSP certification is required Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
