Overview:
We are an event rental company serving the New Orleans metro area, specializing in the delivery, installation, and breakdown of event furnishings, tents, and other event-related equipment. We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Delivery Driver to join our operations team. This role is essential to ensuring our clients’ events run smoothly, safely, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery & Pickup
Safely operate company vehicles (box trucks, vans, or pickups) to deliver and retrieve event rental items across the New Orleans metro area.
Load and unload furniture, tents, staging, décor, and other event equipment with care.
Verify accuracy of delivery orders and ensure all items arrive in clean, event-ready condition.
Installation & Breakdown
Assist in the setup and takedown of tents (frame and pole tents), tables, chairs, stages, dance floors, and other event equipment.
Follow proper installation procedures to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with company standards.
Support onsite teams during large or complex event builds.
Customer Interaction
Communicate professionally with clients, venue managers, and event planners upon arrival.
Provide excellent customer service and address onsite concerns or questions.
Represent the company with a positive attitude and professional appearance.
Operations & Maintenance
Complete daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
Maintain organized and clean trucks, tools, and warehouse equipment.
Adhere to all DOT and company safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and lifting techniques.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience driving box trucks or similar vehicles preferred.
Prior experience in event rentals, logistics, moving, construction, or related fields is a plus.
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions.
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and peak event seasons.
Work Environment:
This role involves physical labor, outdoor work, and fast-paced environments during event setup and teardown. Drivers must be comfortable working in heat, humidity, rain, and seasonal conditions typical of the New Orleans area.
