We’re looking for a live-in aide for a much-loved mom.
About us:
Our family values candor and dignity above all else. We’re committed to helping our mother stay in the comfort and ease of her home for as long as possible.
Who we need:
Diagnosed with dementia, mom needs a second set of eyes and ears to make sure her daily needs are consistently delivered. That’s where you come in, a companion and a steward. We need someone who thrives in the routine and finds joy in fulfilling their to-do list. But mostly, we’re looking for someone who can meet mom where she is on whatever task, so she has more good days.
What we offer:
Mom lives in a two-story condo and the second floor would be exclusively yours, which includes a master bedroom, bathroom, and a study/den.
Vacation and other time off as needed.
Moderate salary (in addition to the full room and board package above).
Desirable Kennebunk location.
Mom has two local children that are highly involved in her care and offer a complete support network for mom and you.
What we need:
A driver for mom to stay fully engaged in her 4x week volunteering.
Grocery shopping and meal prep for all three meals.
Medication management in the morning and evening.
Dog care (for the most chill small dog ever!)
Light walks with mom.
Light housekeeping, although we do have cleaning service every two weeks.
Occasional errands.
Ideally, some very light gardening with mom sitting to watch.
Communication with us to ensure we know when mom needs more specialized help, which we’ll arrange for when needed.
No need for any nursing certifications.
