Description We are seeking an Accounting Analyst based in ANNAPOLIS, Maryland to join our team. This role provides a chance to work in a dynamic environment, closely collaborating with our accounting and finance departments to evaluate organization's income and spending. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity and requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. Responsibilities: Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close cycles, ensuring accuracy. Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. Collect, analyze, and interpret complex financial data. Prepare and distribute financial reports. Respond to management requests by extracting, manipulating, and organizing data. Work closely with the accounting and finance departments to evaluate the organization's income and spending. Use MS Excel and Pivot Table for data analysis and presentation. Handle accounts payable and receivable duties, including coding and approving invoices. Perform data entry tasks as required. Requirements Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management Proficient in coding invoices and processing approved invoices Ability to create, manage, and manipulate Pivot Tables in MS Excel Experience with data entry in accounting software and systems Strong proficiency in MS Excel including advanced functions Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong analytical skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Prior experience in an Accounting Analyst role is an advantage Familiarity with accounting software and platforms is a plus Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
