Job Title: HVAC TechnicianJob DescriptionThis position requires experience in all phases of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) service, operation, and maintenance. The HVAC Technician will operate, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment for the systems. The role reports to the HVAC Supervisor and is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.Responsibilities

Coordinate with assigned foreman and/or other trades to complete projects and work orders efficiently.

Diagnose causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems to identify equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.

Fabricate equipment parts to meet specialty needs and/or replace unavailable parts.

Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders to provide information for decision-making, appropriate action, and compliance with building and safety regulations.

Inspect HVAC systems and their components (e.g., heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance.

Install heating and air conditioning equipment and systems to provide enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities.

Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment to ensure availability in safe operating condition.

Participate in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars as assigned to convey and/or gather information required to perform job functions.

Perform routine and preventive maintenance as needed to ensure the ongoing functioning of HVAC systems.

Prepare written materials (e.g., repair status, activity logs) to document activities and/or convey information.

Repair heating and air conditioning systems and/or components (e.g., pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping) to ensure a comfortable work environment.

Essential Skills

Experience in HVAC service, operation, and maintenance.

Knowledge of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems.

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues.

Proficiency in fabricating equipment parts.

Experience with building maintenance and HVAC system inspections.

Capability to install and upgrade HVAC equipment and systems.

Ability to maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe operating condition.

Excellent communication skills for informing personnel and documenting activities.

High school diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

CFC certification

Journeyman certification preferred

Experience monitoring controls, motors, and switch gears

Experience with commercial and industrial HVAC systems (no residential)

Service and installation experience

Ability to participate in training and development activities

Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves maintaining and repairing HVAC systems. The role requires working with various tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe operating condition. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
