Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant located in Baltimore, Maryland. The role involves a variety of accounting tasks, including the preparation of contracts, budget verification, and invoice monitoring. This position is integral to ensuring the smooth operation and financial transparency of our organization.Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of contracts for providers. Provide backup support for other accounting tasks and functions. Verify and manage budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial regulations. Identify and rectify errors in contracts to maintain contractual integrity. Communicate with providers to confirm the dispatch and receipt of invoices. Oversee contracts between internal and external providers to ensure compliance and satisfactory performance. Conduct site visits at least once a year for audit and inspection purposes. Assist with the management of MS Excel documents, ensuring data accuracy and organization. Process payments and keep an accurate record of all transactions.Requirements Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Minimum of three years of experience working in a staff accountant role Proficiency in managing contracts Demonstrated ability in preparing and managing budgets, including annual budgets Knowledge and experience with invoice processing and payment processing Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
