Our client is seeking a Charge Entry / Billing Specialist in Towson, MD.
The Charge Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering and processing medical charges and billing information for patients.
Responsibilities:
Enter all patient charges into the billing system based on documentation
Apply appropriate medical codes for procedures (CPT, ICD-10)
Maintain accurate and organized records of charge entry transactions, corrections, and adjustments
Enter patient service charges into the EHR and practice management system
Manage denied claims by investigating and resubmitting in a timely manner
Collaborate with billing and clinical teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in medical billing, charge entry, or coding
Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 coding
Experience with EHR and billing software
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
Location: Towson, MD
Pay Rate: $20 – $24/hr
