Operations Manager at KIPP Academy Boston Charter SchoolThe Operations Manager at KIPP Academy Boston Charter School ensures that the school operations effectively serve and support students, families, and school staff. Reporting to the Director of School Operations (DSO), the Operations Manager works closely with the Operations Team to support the budgeting, organization, and logistics of the school community. In doing so, the Operations Manager helps create a professional and authentic environment that allows for a culture of joy, excellence, care, and community where educators can make long-term transformative outcomes for students.This role requires consistent and reliable demonstration of the following essential job functions and key responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Projects Manage year-long and short term strategic projects around the schoolEngage in, and manage projects from beginning to end with little initial directionManage up when needed and get the information needed to accomplish objectivesWhen something is wrong, fix it. When something could be better, refine it Personnel ManagementManage the staff and day to day of our Nutrition TeamLead weekly one-on-one meetings with all direct reportsDevelop professional development plan for all direct reportsManage the performance manage process for all direct reports School Wide Logistics ManagementManage all testing and assessments K-8; including MCASManage transportation for all students; working closely with BPS transportation and other private vendors as needed for McKinney Vento transportationSupport the DSO in managing the school-wide calendar for events K-8Support the DSO in managing field trips K-8Support school wide systems such as arrival, lunch + recess, dismissal, and late pick up BudgetSupport DSOs in management of the school-wide budgetSupport when necessary the inputting all receipts for the school credit cardsUnderstands system coding process NutritionEnsure all certifications and permits are up-to-date annuallyTrack daily consumption of all meals along with the Nutrition teamOrder all meals for students in accordance with compliance standards and student allergiesComplete monthly reimbursement and annual compliance reviewsObtain + maintain ServSafe certificationSupport with cafeteria coverage as needed Operations Team SupportSupport the DSO with all matters on campusAttend some DSO trainingsServe as a second in command for DSO responsibilities when necessarySupport the DSO in meeting school-wide operations goalsSupport and cover the front desk as neededOther duties as assigned by the School Leader or DSO LeadershipSeek and implement feedback from stakeholders (parents, peers, manager, etc.) and offer feedback in an honest, respectful and timely wayUphold and maintain a positive, nurturing, achievement-oriented school cultureMaintain professionalism at all timesWork relentlessly to meet development and functional goals

Our KIPP MA Executive Leadership Teams maintain consistent systems and procedures designed to permit staff to do their best work. In addition to the responsibilities listed above, there will occasionally be other duties as assigned that staff will engage in to help promote a positive and safe learning environment and culture.
