Switchboard Operator

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Switchboard Operator in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. This role primarily involves managing incoming calls and ensuring they are directed to the appropriate parties in a timely manner. The position is part of the law industry and will be based on-site.Responsibilities: Efficiently handle and direct incoming phone calls Maintain a professional phone presence at all times Conduct light data entry tasks as needed Sort and distribute mail accurately and promptly Familiarize oneself with phone systems like DialPad, although prior experience is not mandatory Perform various clerical duties as assigned Ensure all tasks are executed while adhering to established procedures and standards Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the industry's professional code of conduct Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations within the firm Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally. Requirements Proficiency in operating a switchboard or a similar system. Skilled in answering and directing inbound calls. Ability to promptly connect callers with the appropriate personnel. Capable of performing various clerical duties such as filing and data entry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and handle high call volumes. Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required. Professional demeanor and a customer-focused attitude. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Good problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations. High school diploma or equivalent.
