Development and preparation of prototype formulations (solutions, suspensions, dispersions,etc.) for exploratory studiesforin-vivo models. Thisactivityincludes development ofbothoraland parenteraldosage formson small scale.
Routine preparation of solution and suspension formulations for use in preclinical studies.
Measurement of key active compound and formulation properties (such as solubilitydissolution, permeation, stability, self association, etc)
Assessment of the chemical and physicalproperties of small molecules
Assessment of the performance of prototype formulations using in-vitro tests (non-sink dissolution, precipitation, etc.).
Identifying potential stability and performance issues with prototype formulations and investigate solutions.
Development of protocols for preparation of formulations atother sites, internal and external
Shipment of samples toothersites and external sites.
Routine lab support (pH meter calibration, mobile phase preparation, etc)
Bachelor’s degree in science or other related degree concentration, orequivalent directly-related experience
At least one year experience in formulation development
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, andapositive attitude
