Boston Engineering seeks a driven, hands-on sales and marketing leader to grow the firm’s commercial (non-government, non-defense) engineering consulting business. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a high-performance sales strategy targeting markets such as medical devices, diagnostics, robotics, industrial automation, and other innovation-driven sectors.

This role will oversee both sales and marketing functions — building pipeline, closing deals, shaping messaging, and ultimately driving growth. This is an opportunity to lead growth with a respected, innovation-focused consulting team.  Together we can make an impact. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership Lead all sales efforts targeting commercial markets (excluding government and defense). Personally engage in high-value sales pursuits; own key client relationships. Build, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team. Establish and manage sales processes, KPIs, reporting, and forecasting. Set and meet revenue targets through disciplined pipeline management. Market Development Identify and prioritize target industry sectors and client segments. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies that align with company capabilities. Monitor competitive landscape, industry trends, and client needs to shape offerings. Marketing Oversight Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and campaigns to support business development. Align marketing content and initiatives with sales objectives. Ensure consistent client-facing communications across channels (website, proposals, presentations, etc.). Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, project management, and executive leadership to align technical offerings with client needs. Support proposal development, including scope definition and pricing strategy. Champion a customer-centric, solutions-focused approach across the organization.
