Direct Support Professional- Amherst (part time) - Seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to be part of a unique home program for an active young man with autism living in Amherst who enjoys outdoor activities. Staff in this position will support this person at home and in the community. Responsibilities include providing assistance in cooking, self care, outdoor work, recreation and community involvement. Up to 20 hours per week. Hours are flexible and may include late afternoons, evenings and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges preferred.
Strong communication skills, reliability and patience.
Acceptable driving record, valid driver’s license and access to an automobile.
Acceptable CORI required.
